Jesus Lives in Us

“…And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you the assurance of sharing His glory.” Colossians 1:27 NLT

It used to be a secret–God’s great plan, His ultimate purpose. But by sending Jesus, He generously let all of us in on it. Backgrounds, religious experience, titles don’t matter to God. He welcomes everyone to share in His glory.

Glory? Sometimes it’s hard to picture. An aura of light, a halo of gold, majesty and splendor with harps and choirs singing all around…

But God’s glory is so much more than that! When Jesus breathes His Holy Spirit into us, we get to share in His awesomeness. We are filled with His power to overcome, His love and patience in difficult relationships, His forgiveness, His restoration, His energy, His peace, and His grace. We get to really, deeply know Him and be known by Him. And we get to experience growth–becoming more like Him as he finishes the work He began in our hearts.

He lives in us. We can be sure of Him. We don’t have to keep it quiet…

Thank Him for letting you in on His wondrous secret. Ask Him to reveal more and more of His glory to you and through you today. His Spirit is already in you, helping you and giving you everything you need.
