God Cares About Us

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NLT

How does he do that?

How does he show care from way up there?

Does he just send sunshine and flowers once in a while? Does he simply listen and nod understandingly as we pour out our hearts?

Yes, he does. But he does so, so much more than that...

And he doesn’t do it from “way up there”.  The way He cares for us is that He comes close.

-He wraps His loving arms around us and holds us when we cry, when we worry, when we fail.

-He brings us surprises of encouragement–a note from a friend, a song on the radio that comforts our hearts, the warmth of the sun breaking through the clouds. 

-He walks with us through the scary stuff, holding us and filling us with His peace and strength when we need it the most. 

-He lights up our way, guiding us a step at a time as we seek His best for our lives.

-He protects us when we forget to even ask Him.

Hold on to Jesus~

Thank Him for all the ways He shows you that He cares about you. Ask Him to help you to notice the tender gifts He leaves along your path and the unexpected, powerful ways He shows up. Let Him come close and wrap you up in His love and grace today.
