HOLD ON

hold on (verb): to maintain a grasp on something

“If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God, “I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best of care if you’ll only get to know and trust me.” Psalms 91:14

Life is good…but life is also really hard.

And the two words I want to encourage you with today are: HOLD ON.

To those of you who feel like giving up…hold on.

To those of you buried under too much to do, too much pressure, too much on your plate…hold on.

To those of you hurting, grieving, missing someone…hold on.

To those of you who feel like you can’t do this hard thing…hold on.

To those of you waiting and waiting and waiting some more…hold on.

God knows.

He knows exactly what you are going through, and he has so much compassion for you. He hasn’t left you and he never will–even if you can’t feel him right now.

Hold on to his truth.

The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy…” Psalm 19:7-8

Hold on to his heart.

“Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love…” Ephesians 5:2

Hold on to that spark of faith that lights up your heart and reminds you that this life is not all there is.

God has so much good in store for you…

Invite Him in: Jesus sees you and is reaching out his hand to you right now. All you have to do is reach up and grab it. Hold on tight with both hands through the depression, the struggle, the disappointment, the pain. And don’t forget to keep holding onto him when things feel smoother, calmer, and fun. He is by your side and he is on your side.
