God is a Safe Place

“God is our refuge and our strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”

Psalms 46:1 NLT

Do you remember playing hide-and-go-seek and feeling like you had the absolute best hiding spot? No one would ever think to look for you there...

So, there you stayed– silent and invisible as the noise of footsteps and excited voices whirled around you. Protected, calm, safe. Until finally you had to give yourself up and reveal your secret place.

But we aren’t playing games anymore. We really do need a shelter, a safe place to hide in this life. We need a peaceful place to be taken care of, defended, quieted, and restored. 

And we have one in our God.  He is always ready to take us in, to wrap us up in his protective arms, to breathe into us the strength, the patience, the wisdom, and the refreshment that we need.

Hold on to Jesus~

Thank Him that He is your hiding place. Crawl into His presence and let Him protect you from all the chaos and stress in your world.  Ask Him for a safe place to breathe Him in–an extra couple of minutes of quiet and strength while He takes care of everything for you.
