FRESH

adj: new, different, invigorating

"Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new..." 2 Corinthians 5:17 MSG

He's alive!

That's what they said that first Easter morning. Lots of questions. Overwhelming excitement. And so much hope...

If Jesus really was alive, then everything was going to be different. Everything was going to be new. Fresh.

Fresh just feels good. A breath of fresh air, a sip of fresh water, a freshly picked bunch of flowers, freshly washed sheets. Life-giving, energizing, clean.

The opposite of fresh is stale, old, spoiled. Like the produce section of a discount grocery store - gross. Nobody wants that stuff.

And nobody wants to live like that. We get weary of the same old habits, dependencies, and unhealthy choices. We feel spoiled and stale and tired. Jesus doesn't want that for us either. He rose on Easter morning and crushed the power of death to give us a fresh start. Together with Him we can be made clean and new and different...free from the things that drain us of our energy and joy.

Let's invite Him in: Can you imagine being one of Jesus' followers on that morning that changed everything? You actually are. You can have your very own Easter morning with Jesus. You can ask Him all your questions. You can let yourself feel the excitement of what this new life will bring. And you can trust Him to fill your heart with hope! Look inside the empty tomb, then look at Jesus. He IS alive! Take the biggest breath of fresh air and ask Him to make you new today. Everything can be different...
